Upon arrival tech noticed furnace control board failure. Furnace control board will need replacement. Tech explained to customer part not covered under warranty. Tech has customer approval to order part and schedule for return visit to install part.

Technician checked a no cooling on upstairs system. Tech noticed failed transformer at furnace, this will lead to no power to furnace or AC system. Tech also noticed indoor and outdoor capacitors were below system ratings. This means parts can eventually fail leading to no cool or heat for upstairs system. Tech recommended bad-aid vs all necessary repair options for customer and explained parts are not covered under any parts warranty. Tech got customer’s approval to move forward with band-aid option for now. Customer declined home care membership. Upstairs is heating and cooling at this time.
