Issue: no cool System: Main floor Finding: bad condensate pump, no wet safety switch, weak blower motor, weak blower capacitor, dirty blower wheels, humming condenser contactor, dirty condenser coil, bad TXV. AC System is 13 years old and furnace is 23 years old. Recommendations: Cost of repairs is over $4,000 Recommended to get a full system replacement quote. Vacuumed all water in the drain pan and cleaned it. Basement got flooded with condensate water at arrival. The carpet was wet. Today we came out to troubleshoot no power to the basement. We found a gfci that controlled the circuit that the customer was not aware of. I also replaced a garage gfci outlet that was intermittently reading hot/ground reversed and intermittently reading correctly wired. This was due to the age of the outlet and the internals are failing. While out me and the customer discussed the age of his system and his needs for more breaker spaces. We will be replacing the panel next week and running a hot tub circuit. Due to this additional work I took care of todays issues as a courtesy!

Furnace control board is intermittent and inducer has high amp draw. Recommend to replace board, replace inducer, clean blower wheel and run capacitor or get a quote for a new system. Customer wants a quote for a new furnace on 10/22/24. Anytime in the day.

The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today. Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system. Filter is clean. Blower motor capacitor is low. 3.23/5uf. Blower motor is leaking oil out of the motor onto the blower wheel. Replaced broken Ignitor with new Ignitor. Tested heat furnace is working properly. Flame looks good. Adjusted gas pressure from 3.00 to 3.4 should be close to 3.5in wc. Checked ac. Supply air temperature 47 degrees and return temperature 67. Condenser coil is clean.

Austin may be the most capable technician I've had come to my house since I purchased it 19 years ago. Not only was he friendly and knowledgeable, but the things he found while doing his initial troubleshooting showed a thoroughness that really impressed me. Because of his proactive actions, some underlying issues with my water pressure were uncovered that may explain some of the issues I've had over the past decade. He was amazing!!
