Customer called us out for two hose bibs that were leaking. I was successfully able to repair both the hose bibs and stop the leak. Customer also had some issues with hot water. I provided the customer with an estimate to upgrade to a tankless water heater because the customer specifically asked about a tankless water heater. Everything is operating properly at this time. Customer is very satisfied.

Arrived at the customer’s home to complete quoted work. Pulled out the blower motor and removed the old weak run capacitor (3.9 mF), replacing it with a new run capacitor (4.98 mF). Plugged all terminals back in and ensure the motor runs properly. Reported findings to the customer.

Arrived to perform quoted repairs on the main floor system. Replaced the chalky igniter with a brand new one from Lennox Supply. Replaced the weak run capacitor with another 5 mF run capacitor and tested to ensure the capacitance is within the proper tolerance. Tested heating to ensure the igniter and blower run properly after repairs. Reported findings to the customer. The cost of today’s repairs will be credited back as part of the installation of the upstairs A/C and coil.

Performed a tune-up on both HVAC systems in the home (upstairs and main floor). Tested both heating and cooling from the thermostats. Measured the refrigerant pressures and electrical component readings. Inspected the safety and cleanliness of the systems. Changed the 1” air filters. Cleaned the flame sensors. Reported findings to the customer Scheduled for an install supervisor to give a quote for a new system on November 7th 8-10.

I was called out to the Haba residence for a Homecare maintenance. They moved in about 3 years ago so we performed a thorough evaluation. During the evaluation we discovered that the systems are from 2014 with the coils being replaced in 2018 likely due to failure, the flood protection is minimal, many parts are getting worn out and may cause functional issues, the master system has significant rust from venting issues which may make it unsafe to use, the main system has an evaporator coil that is undersized, and the upstairs system has airflow issues either because the ductwork is too small or the system is too large. Due to the cost of potential repairs, lack of warranty to help cover repairs, and efficiency loss due to installation as well as age replacement is a viable option.

No heat basement and main level. Found inducer motor to be seized. Replaced motor and inspected unit. Found dirty air filter and minimal flood protection. Suggested joining homecare plan.
