Tested system not heating for the main level of the home. Found that the limit switches were tripped for the blower section and bypass them to be able to test the unit further. You could tell that the ignition and flames were starting to jump around and roll out slightly. Also found the gas valve will intermittently turn off and on while running. Analyzed the combustion and found high readings along with pulled blower motor and inspected the heat exchanger with camera and found a significant crack in the heat exchanger. Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system.

Trevor had us out today because his basement system is not heating properly. It won’t go above 65. Upon arrival we noticed that it’s currently 65° inside the home and the system is running. We noticed that the system is from 2018 and we are only getting 65° coming out of the supply. We checked all electrical and found that there is no heat kit installed on the system. We also noticed that the indoor capacitor is failing reading 6.9. We also tested the other system and checked refrigerant pressures, which were within good standing. The 30/5 capacitor was out of range. We also noticed some biological buildup on the inside of the unit. We also noticed that there is no flood protection on the system. At time of departure the system is heating and it is 70°.
Responded to no heat call, found system off due to safety lock out. Reset system, watched sequence of operation, flame kicked on and once the blower started noticed flames jumping around. Upon further inspection, found previous crack in heat exchanger that looks to have been temporarily fixed. Informed customer that it wasn’t save the way the heat exchanger was patched. Scheduled for a quote, Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system.

Performed 1 system heating diagnostics on a 2000 lennox furnace. I found that the inducer motor has failed. I tested the ignitor and found that it is in very poor condition but is some how working for now. The heat exchangers are in very poor condition and the furnace maybe a fire hazzard. I was unable to test all of the components due to the inducer motor no longer operating (there maybe additional system issues); additional repairs maybe needed. I will build and email an estimate to replace the inducer motor (if lennox still makes it). Homeowner will need to sign a waiver before the repair is made stating the he assumes all risk and liability of choosing to run a potenially unsafe furnace.
Toilet bowl in hallway bathroom was leaking. Replace broken aqua piston flush valve, I noticed a leak from the nylon bidet connection and was not able to keep it from leaking. I attached a brand new supply line and cut power and water to the bidet as a temporary solution. Service will come out Thursday to fix this, the leak was right at the crimp connection and there were no parts I could readily get to fix the issue.
