L-1 inside the air handler was burned up. The system has 10 kw heat strips. Replaced the wire nuts with Polaris connectors and tightened the lugs down to include the disconnect box. The heat pump is working, but has no back up heat. The heat strips are not coming on due to the zone board relay is not closing when their is a call for W-1/E.
Troubleshooting
Home Care Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system for the main floor. Checked home and all three systems are heating at this time, recommend replacing main floor unit due to poor condition of heat, exchanger, blower motor, capacitor, and age of furnace. Upstairs system working but needs return air Plenum reattached to furnace and outdoor coil cleaning. Basement system needs capacitor for blower motor and should have correct size breaker installed. All three systems lack TE standard flood protection. Install supervisor coming out Wednesday between 11 and 2 to quote furnace replacement for main floor.
Chip out concrete around drain line in slab, install offset toilet flange, pour back hydraulic cement to make up space, and install customer supplied toilet
15 year old Goodman Gas furnace & AC System heating normal on arrival, homeowner walked me through what the system has been doing when it’s not operating properly. I cycled the system on from the thermostat and observed the sequence of operation at the furnace. System did not malfunction. I began testing all heating components within the furnace and inspected the heat exchanger. At 15 years old all components are reading below manufacture parameters and could fail at any moment. While using my borescope camera I did observe that the heat exchanger is compromised. There are several burnt up areas, a lot of metal fatigue, and the cells are near cracking. All components are original and out dated. Builder grade equipment has a life expectancy of 10-12 years. This equipment is 15 years old and has exceeded its life expectancy. Due to the age of the system, condition of all the components, and reliability, I recommended doing am equipment restoration or consider updating the equipment. Gi
Performed diagnostic and I found a leak in the evaporator coil in the basement system. I will need to return to perform the work, I ordered the evaporator coil and it is in stock in Marietta at Mingledorff.
Toilet in the upstairs bathroom is moving back and forth. Pulled the toilet from the floor and found that the flange is broken. Removed the existing flange from the floor, installed a new toilet flange with a metal ring. I then secured the flange to the floor and installed a new wax seal with flange bolts. I then sat the toilet in place and secured to the floor. I caulked around the base of the toilet. Turned on the water and tested. Noticed that the left side tank bolt was leaking, I tighten the bolt and the leak stopped. No further leaks detected.
Pulled toilet to inspect a possible blockage
Checked filters. Cleaned flame sensors and inducer ports. Checked all operations. Replaced run capacitor and installed refrigerant.

House pressure was low at 55 psi, I replaced the 1 inch PRV for a double chamber 1 inch PRV and adjusted it to 70 psi. Now the house has great pressure. I also replaced all the shower cartridges, except the ones in the master bathroom because the balance mechanism was becoming defective and the showers were to turn on. Now showers turn on smoothly and water. temperature is more consistent.
Single system inspection. Found two faulty dampers. One stuck open and 1 stuck closed. Inspected system. System operating normally. Checked system in heat and cool. Could not accurately check refrigerant pressure due to air flow issues. Checked electrical components and safeties. Checked refrigerant is in the system. And electrical components on ac. Found system didn’t have a wet switch.
