Troubleshoot electrical issue. ISSUE: customer smelled odd “electrical” smell in laundry room LOCATION: laundry room FINDINGS: after doing my thorough diagnostic, I noticed the outlet to the washer is reaching end of life. flickers on and off when my outlet tester is installed. also panel is in the same room and is original to when house was built. highly recommend updating devices and service. RESOLUTION: highly recommend updating the service to the house as well as redevicing at minimum the laundry room Confirmed that Rockdale County requires arc fault breakers when replacing panel or service.

Tested system with weird issue going on for the outdoor condenser. Customer stated that the outdoor unit would continually turn off and on, and it seemed like it only happened during the nighttime. Tested the system multiple times from the thermostat and could not replicate the issue. Informed customer of my findings and tested all the previous installed components. Based on the customers troubles with the thermostat she has installed and found that on the back of the thermostat. There is a burn mark around the cooling terminals. Today we replaced this thermostat with an ecobee and also set up the programming for the customer. Tested fully and no failures at this time.
