While Replacing defective ecm motor, found blower wheel completely filled with dirt and debris. Cleaned blower wheel and reinstalled blower housing. Proceeded to check system. Noticed that control board did not light up. Checked for power at transformer, blower power harness. All have power determined that board is also defective. Prior to repair informed customer that there may be further issues with the system. Need to replace control board. Left quote for repair. System is still currently not working until board is replaced customer understands.

The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today. Customer has 23 y/o Carrier furnace that operates for upper level. System was not cooling due to failed blower motor with bad run capacitor. Replace blower motor. Replaced 7.5 MFD capacitor. No water protection present. Blower wheel cleaning needed. Informed customer of findings. Due to age of system, advised customer to seek furnace upgrade. System is currently working.

Completed homecare maintenance for single system home. Also diagnosed the system, not cooling. Found the wet switch(old style) was tripping even though the pan and felt pad was dry. Went ahead and swapped it out for the new style and rewired the safeties correctly in series. The 4 inch filter and the condenser coils outside are dirty. Today we went ahead and replaced the filter and cleaned the condenser coils, inform the customer that the ductwork is extremely dirty and could use a duct clean to improve energy usage, airflow, and air quality.
