Responded to no heat call for zoned system. Customer stated that prior to our arrival he heard a noise coming from condensation pump, he turned the power off to pump. I was called out to Asim’s house for a maintenance on 2 of the 3 systems. Asim has lived here for 9 years so we performed a thorough evaluation. During the evaluation we discovered that the upstairs system’s flue pipe is installed incorrectly causing the heat exchanger to wear out faster than normal making it possibly unsafe before long, the flood protection needs updating, the wheel is very dirty, the coil needs cleaned, and the uv bulb is off. On the main system we discovered that the flue pipe is single wall, the flood protection needs updating, the wheel is very dirty, the coil is dirty, and the breakers for both furnaces are wired together into a double breaker. Due to the cost of possible repairs, age, and lack of warranty replacement is a viable option to correct everything and renew warranties.
