Installed a halo ion 6 water filtration unit, replaced an expansion tank and added a bracket for a secure application, and replaced the master bathroom wide spread faucet specialty cartridge for the cold and hot. Customer called us out today because upon changing a GFCI in the kitchen, it tripped the device and breaker. Upon resetting the affected breaker, he saw a small flash behind the panel cover. We removed the panel cover and visually inspected the affected breaker as well as doing a voltage test on it. The breaker showed no visible markings due to the small arc and the voltage read normal. We visually inspected the GFCI in the kitchen. The customer also explained that the GFCI in the recreation room randomly trips when turning the light switch off after using the peleton. This is causing their water circulator to not work along with other outlets in the room. We tried to recreate this occurrence with no luck. We suggested changing out the device and the switch near it which we did with the customers approval. We also left the option of running a dedicated 20 amp circuit for the water circulator to separate it from the basement recreation room circuit.

Replaced faulty breaker. Troubleshoot light in kitchen nook. (Light fixture was tripping breaker) Troubleshoot outlets and light in garage and bedroom above.

Replace old washer box with new. Old washer box does not have water hammer arrestors and the gate valves are deteriorated. Pressurize lines after and check for leaks.

Home Inspection

Customer experiencing a sound coming from walls when running different plumbing fixtures. After testing the PRV, pressure for the house is correct at nearly 65 psi. When testing fixtures, the master bath faucet angle valves leak and must be replaced. Furthermore, in regard to the possible water hammer issue, start with a course of action. First step is repairing anything that could cause property damage (replace leaking angle valves). Second step will be replacing the washer box ( no hammer arresters and gate valves are old/leak). third step will be adding a hammer arrester for the dishwasher. All of these hammer arresters are required by code. Fourth step will be cutting into walls and investigating piping supports. We will return tomorrow with an extra hand to move washer and dryer (customer has accepted liability in doing so).

Add an outlet for the dishwasher

Cleared master bathroom toilet with closet auger. Determined water level in tank low causing water level in bow to be low. Adjusted water level to proper volume. Flushed multiple times with paper to ensure proper drainage.

Troubleshoot stove and replaced breakers

Installed new 10 year 50 gallon gas water heater in basement with new drip pan, water shutoff and flexible gas connector. Modified existing waterlines and exhaust vent to accommodate new heater and set new thermal expansion tank to 70psi. Also replaced main water shutoff valve and pressure regulator. Relocated valves into more accessible location. Tested for leaks and proper function. Temp on water heater set to manufacturer recommended 120°F.

Removed and replaced bad transformer last visit. Diagnosed bad blower motor. Removed and replaced bad blower motor. Checked all heat and cool operations. Had to turn gas valve on and off 4 times for gas valve to work again. Could loose heat because of gas valve going bad. 3 leaks in line set. Hardly any 410a refrigerant in system. Do not run ac or compressor will go bad. Poorly installed.

Power surge or power line issue caused transformer and blower motor to go bad. Can’t finish inspection until parts are replaced. Vendor is closed.

Home owner had a leak near the foundation outside. The original line angled down with a lot of strain, also was very shallow to only 6inches we dropped it to a little over 14 inches below grade. The 3/4 pvc was replaced with soft copper type L and reconnected back to main shut off inside the house that transitions-to cpvc. Everything was hydraulic cemented inside and out. Then we tarred over the hydraulic cement outside to water proof it completely. Once everything was installed it was leak checked with no leaks present. Troubleshoot with quotes of repair

Trouble and diagnose why circuit #2 has a ground fault situation. The issue was located in the first bedroom on the right hand side at the switch box for the closet light. I discovered that the pre existing switch was a 3 way switch intended to be used as a single pole and when it was installed the non used terminal was not screwed in and the equipment grounding conductor had made contact on the terminal causing the issue. I showed the homeowners the issue and I supplied and installed a new switch at that location. The panel is a Homeline 150 amp main breaker panel and circuit #2’s breaker was damaged so I informed the homeowners that I would need to install a new breaker before powering the circuit back on which they agreed.

For this job, we worked on installing multiple outlets and switches and lights for the unfinished basement. Every device and fixture’s location was approved by homeowner. Colonel Bankston: Thank you for your 22 years and counting of service.

For this job we inspected a hot tub disconnect. A wasp nest had been made on the disconnect and customer had sprayed everything wasp killer. Hot tub is functioning properly. We also installed a new ceiling fan in the master bedroom. We also left an estimate for whole home surge protection in the main panel.

New service

Called out for no hot water on a Rheem 50 gallon gas hot water containment system located in basement. Found the pay the honeywells gas control valve has a mechanical fault causing the burner assembly to not stay lit. In addition we found a ruptured thermal expansion tank bladder and a high pressure reading of the incoming potable water of 98 psi and incorrect piping above hot water containment system. We replaced the gas control valve and burner assembly on the Rheem unit and brought heater up to code with new copper piping at least 18” above the unit. On main incoming feed we replaced the pressure regulator to safely distribute the water throughout the home. Tested all fixtures and gas hot water containment system and all is working at this time.

Service visit on Generac 22kw standby generator

Replaced leaking hose bib in backyard with new hose bib. Secured to ho,e with screws and base sealed with clear caulking.

Gas was turned off by fire department. Customer needed a plumber to find gas leak but will do repair himself. Shut gas back off before departure.

I’m here doing a HomeCare inspection

The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today. Performed 1 system diagnostic found unit capacitor out of tolerance, dirty condenser as well. And no wet switch. Custom went with bandaid option. Also recommended maintenance program. Tested unit no system is now cooling. No other issues found at this time.
