Performed routine maintenance inspection on 6 y/o Ameristar system that operates for whole house. Checked amp draws. Cleaned flame sensor. Cleared pressure switch tubing. No form of ground water safety. Blower wheel cleaning needed. Blower motor is weak. Run capacitor is weak. Single wall flue venting is incorrect. Gas line connection is poor. Customer wants duct cleaning scheduled. Heat exchanger has known crack, which customer is aware of. Advised customer to seek furnace replacement. Declined quote at this time. Pressure levels were normal. Condenser fan motor is overheating. Other condenser electrical components are good. Coils are fair. Informed customer of all findings. System is currently working.

Finished Generac 22kW whole-home generator installation in Decatur. Poured concrete pad to manufacturer specs. Connected to natural gas line w/ proper pressure regulator. Installed automatic transfer switch & integrated w/ existing electrical panel. All circuits now protected during outages. Water company says customer still has leak. Customer went with another company to install water heater that has plenty of corrections needed. While looking for leaks, placed water pressure gauge on spigot and after 10 minutes did not lose any pressure. Customer is having a meter inspection and will call us back.

Rebuilt master bathroom toilet & replaced supply line.

Cleared mainline blockage from outside cleanout using k750 ran machine 3 times and verified proper flow with a garden hose. Felt really rough resistance about 100 feet down, likely where the sewer tap begins. I noticed some leaking at a cast iron fitting near the penetration point under the crawlspace during my troubleshoot. Customer notified and a sewer supervisor will investigate further. Pulled out wet wipes.

Technician completed home care spring maintenance for one system. Tested heat and cool at thermostat. Replaced Aprilair #413 air cleaner with customer’s approval. Came out for gas line to stove pinched gave estimate customer agreed cut out copper gas line replaced with track pipe tested no failure at this time.

Installed new compressor. Replaced 45/5 MFD capacitor. Replaced 1-pole contactor. Added inline float safety switch for water protection. Performed condenser coil cleaning. Charged 8 lbs. of 410A refrigerant. Pressure tested. Leak tested. Pulled proper microns. System is currently working.

Sandra had us alternate to complete the home care for her system. Upon arrival we noticed that there is a trane furnace that is located in the crawlspace. Sandra provided the 4 inch filter for replacement. We noticed that the 5 Mfd capacitor was out of range and needed to be replaced. We also noticed that the outdoor coil was dirty and will need a cleaning. We also recommended to look at using a cover over the winter time to prevent any debris and leaves getting inside of the system. System is heating at time of departure.

Reroute kitchen drain above head to drain stack on other side of basement. Install new washing machine branch drain into same stack. Abandon cast iron in slab.

Came out for toilet leaking from bottom gave estimate customer agreed pulled toilet in master installed new wax ring and supply line tested no failure at this time.

Replaced 2 hose bibbs on the home. Turned on water to home and pressurized lines. Tested and found no leaks.

Customer has 6 y/o Goodman heat pump system that operates for whole house. System is not working properly due to grounded compressor. Noticed that condenser coils were very dirty. Dual capacitor has failed. Contactor is reading high resistance. No form of water protection present for system. Recommend UV protection to target and prevent growth within system. Informed customer of all findings. Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system.
