Replaced 25 year old electric water heater. New copper pipe, new quarter turn ball valve. Added expansion tank and expansion tank strap, set at 55 psi. Everything insulated and tested for leaks.

Jonathan had us out today because his main level system is not heating properly. Upon arrival we noticed that it is 60° inside the home. Jonathan has set the system for 65°. We checked the air handler that is located in the basement. We noticed that everything is currently running however there isn’t any heat being produced. We headed outside to the heat pump and noticed that only the outdoor fan motor was running. We checked the capacitor which was a 70/5 and noticed that on both sides, it was out of range and will need to be replaced. Jonathan approved to have capacitor replaced. We checked refrigerant pressures which were high. We also noticed biological growth on the indoor unit and recommended adding UV to the system.

Water Heater Circuits: Existing water heater circuits were installed for a 30-60 gallon water heater which only needs a 30A circuit breaker and 30A rated wire. The water heaters that are installed are 100 gallon water heaters that need a 50A circuit breaker and 50A rated wire. The previous electrician should’ve replaced the wiring when the water heaters were upsized or originally installed. Instead of replacing the wiring, they just put a 50A breaker on 30A rated wire. This is a safety concern, as 10AWG cannot handle the heat of a 50A circuit and can melt the insulation from the copper. Suggested to run new wires from electrical panel for each water heater to avoid complications in the future. _______________________________________ Freezer Circuits: On the refrigerator circuit there are also two deep freezers attached which is not recommended. Having the refrigerator and freezers on their own individual circuits will ensure the circuit won’t be overloaded causing the breake

Jason did a great job but ran out of time on a Thursday evening. He was off of work so he planned to be back on Monday. That evening, we found that some breakers started flipping in part of our house and wouldn’t stay on leaving some in our house with no electricity in part of the house. I called first thing Friday morning and the best they could do is schedule someone to come look at it between 3:00 and 6:00. They finally arrived at 4:40 but admitted that it was too late in the day to be able to actually fix anything. So, ultimately, TE left their customer in worse shape than before and then expected them to just wait four days for them to come out and actually help. I contacted another electrician who could come to my house on the weekend and cancelled all cervices with TE.

Exceeded all expectations! Wayne was professional, friendly, highly experienced & kept job site clean at all times! From the super easy scheduling to the install…fantastic job & highly recommend! Only negative-we did have sticker shock when we were given a quote once he arrived T house, as it exceeded our budget by nearly triple! Still proceeded but would recommend giving a ballpark estimate price range prior to showing up at job. Wish every contractor had the pride and talents that Wayne had!!

I had numerous issues that needed addressing. Mauricio listened to each of my concerns as well as walking through each of my concerns. Mauricio was able explain to me each area that was a problem and give me an estimate with three different options for one of the situations.
