Arrival on January 7, 2025 found mini split in ROOM ABOVE GARAGE heating with only 5° split, cleaned filters, checked for pressure found that the system was low in charge R-410A, the system was pretty much empty. Customer mentioned that every year they have to charge the system one or 2 times. Recommended customer to perform a leak search on line set and system. Or to recharge the system with factory specs, or upgrade the system and line set to mitigate issue. Customer chose to just refill their system. Added 3.0lbs of refrigerant R-410A and got system heating back properly with 35 degrees split. Return 71.6 and return 106. The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today. Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system. Set a lead for tomorrow. Please send a comfort advisor tomorrow to come give a Mini Split quote to customer.
