Troubleshoot

Completed system inspection, noticed that when system was turned on to heat mode only the emergency heating strips and fan would come on. Upon further inspection the disconnect was pulled and the compressor circuit was disconnected, plugged pulled out of compressor, wires pulled from contactor and capacitor. Did not attempt to rewire. Also noticed what looked like burn marks on the defrost board. Can not fully test system in heat or ac mode due to those issues, left quote for minimum repairs to get system running. if customer chooses to do repairs there’s a chance there may be more issues. Noticed indoor and outdoor coils were dirty. Noticed biological growth in unit. Checked to make sure system wasn’t empty on refrigerant. Unit is not under warranty

Tested system not heating or cooling for the whole home. Found a failed thermostat that was not sending the correct power and turning system on and off. Also the system is lacking flood protections. The blower wheel in the furnace is dirty. Tested unit after replacing the thermostat and found the air conditioning. System is flat on refrigerant. Found a major leak inside of the evaporator coil performing a nitrogen leak search. Due to the age and the cost of repairs it might be time to think about replacing the system.

Replace light fixtures in the garage and outside security light

Came out for dripping shut off gave estimate customer agreed cut out old leaking water shut off installed two new water shut offs tested no failure at this time.

Install new circuit for dishwasher

Performed furnace inspection. Checked all electrical and amperage’s. Cleaned flame sensor. Filter is good. Customer stated second floor gets up to 83° at night time. Check temperatures on thermostat are reading within parameters. System operating as should. Customer does not use email would like hardcopy of invoice.

Replaced kitchen faucet, bathroom p trap, and toilet. Water pressure drops from 60PSI to 30PSI. Replaced PRV and set water pressure to 65PSI.

Miss hicks had us out today because system isn’t heating. After inspection found flue pipe not up to code and has holes in it. Water heater flue is also vented in this. Drain line has lots of belly’s in pipe and not ran properly, indoor coil and blower wheel are dirty. Blower capacitor is within range. Furnace control board is shored out. The thermostat is shorting out. Outdoor unit contactor and capacitor both within range. Indoor unit has lots of air leaks. Unit currently not working all the time.

Came out for washing machine backing up when sewer ejector pump runs Found that p trap was s trapped gave estimate to replace customer agreed cut out old s trap replaced tested both the washing machine and sewer ejector no failure at this time.

Whole House Electrical Check-up. Includes checking of all major electrical components and spot checking existing outlets and switches. FINDINGS: home inspection was done after homeowners accidentally partially flooded basement and heard a pop and smelled melted rubber. did not come across anything that has obvious water damage, but still highly recommend redevicing home due to age of outlets. Some devices didn’t even have a ground screw therefore, certain equipment is not grounded. service wire is 60 years old. highly recommend doing a new service to update the home and bring the house up to code as well. No ground rods, hardwired smoke detectors were spotted. There is a switch in the living room that trips the breaker every time it is turned on. it’s going to a junction box that is blanked off in the basement. No GFCI protection in all of basement. Previous homeowner installed ceiling fan in sunroom and used speaker wire instead of romex. Homeowner is aware to not use that until it’

Neutralizer and drain replaced

Replace cast iron for master bathroom group. Replace trunk line from bathroom group in ceiling, down wall and into basement. Replace as close to floor as possible.

Replace bad gfci in the basement kitchen

Came out for leaking water heater flooded basement due to old age gave estimate customer agreed install new 40 gallon gas water heater tested no failure at this time.

Made spot repair on gray poly in ceiling of living room. Left estimates for prv, water heater, and wash box replacement

Plumbing work

Heat exchanger is cracked. Recommended replacing furnace. Left thermostat off and gas valve off.

The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today.

Upon arrival, customer stated she smelt gas again after inspection found that the flue vent was not venting properly, and there was no way to make it that properly and in a sealed crawlspace with no combustible air. Installed new flue vent for for both units in the basement crawlspace. Also install. On both systems unit working properly.
