Goodman gas furnace not heating all the time. Issue is the system is not heating all the time, they will set the thermostat and the system will run and then shut down early. During my visit I cycled the system on three different times. On arrival it was 68° in the home and I set the thermostat for 70°, the system ran until the home reach 70° and shut down. I then bumped the thermostat up to 73°, the system ran until the home reach 73° and then shut down like normal again. The third time I said the thermostat to 75°, Again the system ran like normal and he did the home up to 75° and then shut down. No immediate issues were observed today as the system is functioning normally. I did observe that the inducer motor housing is leaking water and is rusting out the furnace . The heat exchanger is compromised with multiple hotspots, metal, fatigue, and rust. This could cause the system to cut off on high limit, but that did not happen during today’s visit. Kyle was super helpful and efficient. He got the job of replacing meter done very quickly and helped in getting our power back on by handling the permit, inspection and reaching out to electric company to get us up and running and. Price was exactly what was quoted originally as well! I have had multiple jobs done by TE certified comes out, does the job and charges as agreed upon! Very hard to find such good service these days!
